March for democracy?

BismiLLah…

Let the picture speaks on my behalf;

April 28th, 2012
(Unfortunately, I will not be able to join)

Entah kenapa saya tak terasa bahang Bersih 3.0 kali ini. Mungkin saya sudah semakin mirip si katak bawah tempurung. Orang moden (baca: hospital) kata katak dalam NICU. Yang pastinya, saya ternanti-nanti hebahan tarikh pilihanraya. Oh, kalau dah keluar tarikh, kena la study. Study siapa calon yang hendak dipilih. Oh, adakah perlu kaji macam kaji calon suami?

BismiLLah…

“Allahu Akbar! Anak soleh ni… duduk diam-diam bila ‘acik’ ambil darah ok?” Saya membetul-betulkan kedudukan bayi agar mudah saya selesaikan tugas saya.

“Eh, baby ni cina lah awak.” Teman saya mencelah.

“Dia tau lah. Baby lahir dalam keadaan fitrah. So semua ahli syurga, betul tak ustazah?” Teman saya yang lain pula menyampuk. Seronok menyakat saya.

Babies al-chomells

Setiap bayi lahir dalam keadaan fitrah

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every child is born in a state of fitra (in a state of innate goodness), then his parents make him into a Jew or a Christian or a Zoroastrian. It is like the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?” Then Abu Hurayrah said and read, “(Adhere to) the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] mankind. No change should there be in the creation of Allah.” [Muttafaq ‘Alayh].

Fitrah = kepercayaan kepada keEsaan Tuhan, secara semulajadi.

So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] mankind. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of men know not.

`Iyad bin `Himar said that the Messenger of Allah said; “Allah said: ‘I created all My servants as haneefs (pure monotheists), but the devils came and diverted them from their religion, and forbade them that which I permitted them and and they commended them to associate in worship with Me, that for which I had sent down no authority. [Sahih Muslim]

Dr Justin Barrett, a senior researcher at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Anthropology and Mind, claims that young people have a predisposition to believe in a supreme being because they assume that everything in the world was created with a purpose.

“If we threw a handful on an island and they raised themselves I think they would believe in God.” – Dr Barret

(baca: Children are born believers in God, academic claims)  Mungkin berbaloi untuk membaca tulisan beliau. Review – Born Believers: The Science of Children’s Religious Beliefs (Macam lah sempat nak beli buku dan baca~~)

Syurga atau neraka?

“Mana adik (baby of) Ng WR?”

An-Nawawi said, “Some of them refrained from giving an opinion because of the hadith of ‘Aaishah which was reported by Muslim with the wording, “A boy of the Ansaar died, and I said, “It is good for him, because he did not do or know any evil”. The Prophet (saw) said, “You should not say that because Allah (swt) has created its own people for Paradise..” The response to that is that he was most likely rebuking her for hastening to say something so decisive with no proof, or else he said that before he knew that the children of the Muslims would be in Paradise.” [Fath al-Baari, 3/244].

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: “No babe is born but upon Fitra. It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist.” A person said: “Allah’s Messenger, what is your opinion if they were to die before that (before reaching the age of adolescence when they can distinguish between right and wrong)?” He said: “It is Allah alone Who knows what they would be doing.” [Sahih Muslim Book 033, Hadith Number 6426]

(Baca: Al-Jannah Wa An-Naar)

And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we have testified.” [This] – lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were of this unaware.” [Surat Al-‘A`rāf: 172]

BismiLLah…

Sedang kami duduk-duduk di Unit rawatan rapi neonate (NICU) sambil ‘menghayati lagu alam’ (baca: tangisan bayi yang berlagu), teman saya tiba-tiba mencelah, “Agak-agak, apa jadi pada babies ni bila diorang besar nanti?”

Saya terdiam. Saya juga selalu terfikirkan perkara yang sama. Setiap hari menguruskan bayi yang ibu-bapanya kadang-kadang entah siapa… “Bagaimana nak selamatkan aqidah adik-adik ni?”

Giliran teman saya pula terdiam. Soalan yang tidak diduga. Saya sendiri pun terkejut dengan soalan sendiri. Haih. Nampak sangat memang tak pernah fikir dan asyik fikir diri sendiri.

“Doa. Kau kan pandai doa.” Saya tertawa.

Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud, radiyallahu ‘anhu, reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, the most truthful, the most trusted, told us: “Verily the creation of any one of you takes place when he is assembled in his mother’s womb; for forty days he is as a drop of fluid, then it becomes a clot for a similar period. Thereafter, it is a lump looking like it has been chewed for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him, who breathes the ruh (spirit) into him. This Angel is commanded to write Four decrees: that he writes down his provision (rizq), his life span, his deeds, and whether he will be among the wretched or the blessed. I swear by Allah – there is no God but He – one of you may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise till there is naught but an arm’s length between him and it, when that which has been written will outstrip him so that he performs the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire; one of you may perform the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire, till there is naught but an arm’s length between him and it, when that which has been written will overtake him so that he performs the deeds of the people of Paradise and enters therein.”  [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

“Al-Qadar is Allah’s predestination of measurements and sustenance of everything and everyone, according to His Knowledge and Wisdom.”

BismiLLah…

Alhamdulillah, at least I am no longer someone who takes the religion for granted.

BismiLLah…

May 27th, 2012 @ 6 Rajab 1433H

It is less than 2 months away. And I don’t think I am prepared, emotionally, for it.

And these are for you, in preparing for a new phase of life.

Among the must-read books for future bride(s) & groom(s), future wife/husband, and future mom & dad

A Gift for Muslim Bride and Groom by Shaykh Muhammed Haneef Abdul Majeed

Specially imported from Baltimore, for you. Perhaps it’s almost impossible to complete your reading of all books in less than 2 months, but I just hope you will start reading and start learning. And the learning process does not end with completion of these sets of books, but it continues till the end of your life.

(Postage fee lagi mahal dari harga buku!)

Although I can feel the joy of seeing you getting married, I think I am not prepared emotionally to let you go. Felt like we just started to share our serious thoughts, problems, laughter and childishness together. Anyhow, my dear sister, my prayers are always with you. Be the best wife for your husband! 🙂

‘May Allaah bless for you (your spouse) and bless you, and may He unite both of you in goodness.’
